Intimacy with wisdom

intimacy with wisdom

There is absolutely no one in the world that can ever touch your soul or fulfill your absolute other than God Himself.  You will look for it high and low, here and there, but the complete fulfillment happens only when we pursue God.

Pursuing God is the wisdom and insight that we all need to hear.  Formal education is only one stage in the process of becoming a wise person. So much of life has been professionalized and institutionalized that we easily slip into the notion that it is the responsibility of some profession or some institution to impart to us wisdom.

There is an intimacy with God that makes this happen.  In the New Testament, this promise of love and mercy only deepens in the very revelation of Jesus Christ. The truth of the Gospel goes far beyond what any human could ever have imagined or dreamed of – that God himself would enter the world and take on human flesh. Jesus reveals not only that He is Son of God, but He reveals the Father and the Holy Spirit. He reveals to us the intimate union that we are called into as disciples with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that there are truly three persons in the one God.

Love Him and He will share His wisdom with you.  The question about the origins of the world and of people has been the object of many scientific studies which have splendidly enriched our knowledge of the age and dimensions of the cosmos, the development of life-forms and the creation of human beings. These discoveries invite us to even greater admiration for the greatness of the Creator, prompting us to give Him thanks for all His works and for the understanding and wisdom He gives to scholars and researchers. With Solomon they can say: “It is he who gave me unerring knowledge of what exists, to know the structure of the world and the activity of the elements. . . for wisdom, the fashioner of all things, taught me.”

Embrace Him and prize Him above all else and He will bring you honour.  A person may have health, not beauty, learning, not parentage, riches, not wisdom; but in God are contained all excellencies.

He will be the one to crown you with glory and your life will be full and it will be blessed.
