A good man’s words are a fountain of life because a good man knows how to build up even when the truth is a little tough and love needs to be delivered with a bit of mentoring or discipleship. You can tell a person with a wicked edge because their words hide a violent nature. Just take the wrong turn or say the wrong thing and you will find yourself on the wrong side of the tracks. In other words a good man speaks to the benefit of himself where the other conceals their depth of mischief intended for others under deceitful words.
It is the action of hate, the desire to destroy or stab in the back that stirs up trouble. But the same things can be said and done in love and everyone knows that there is forgiveness for all offences. In other words, hate seeks for occasions to provoke enmity. It delights in broils. On the contrary, love conciliates; removes aggravations; puts the best construction on every thing; and pours water, not oil, upon the flame.
