Wealth and Poverty

wealth and poverty

No doubt that wealth protects the rich and unfortunately as well, poverty destroys the poor.

A lack of material wealth does not necessarily mean that one is deprived.  Once profit becomes the exclusive goal, if it is produced by improper means and without the common good as its ultimate end, it risks destroying wealth and creating poverty.

The reward for doing good is life.  The choice to sin only leads to more sin.

If God rewards us for doing good works, which He does (Psalms 18:20, Proverbs 25:21-22, Matthew 6:6, 18, Luke 6:35, 2 John 8, Revelation 22:12 etc.) then our reward is also His gift because we do not deserve it.  Because the reward is a gift then it may come in the form of grace and even eternal life.
