I am in the midst of writing a strategic plan for ministry. Started as a one year plan – looks like not everyone is going to be happy unless it is three years. Started looking at no change in staff, finding out there could be as many as three or four changes. When do I re-hire or should I re-define the job descriptions? How mature will the new placements be, how mature can they be based on the salary we are offering? How do I know what I need to know to project so far into the future?
At the end of the day, we can make the plans, but at night, when I am dreaming and asking God to speak to me, He provides the right answer. For me and those I work with – we might seem to be pure in our own eyes when it comes to relationships, but God is the only one objective enough to look at our motives.
So by committing actions to the Lord there is an expectation our plans will succeed.
