Going through a process this morning called “the theory of change.” Reminds me that I should be the voice that aims at wise and focused action and make sure I am not the foolish voice that encourages us to start in many directions. Foolish staff must bring grief to their leaders and bitter regrets to members of their team.
Glory be to thee, O Lord our God, whose face is ever hidden from us, but whose will and love have been made known to mighty kings and simple shepherds. We come before thee not as wise but as seeking. Grant us the wisdom to glory only in thee – in thy judgment which condemns our foolishness and in thy love which comforts our suffering – that having learned to adore thee, we may find that our seeking ends in praise of thee who has long sought us in Jesus Christ our Lord.
