Tomorrow’s praise

tomorrow's praise

Never boast about tomorrow. You don’t know what will happen between now and then.

But for all the future is cracked up to be, the simple truth is the future may not be. For today is here and tomorrow may not be what I think — or even be. Who knows what can intervene to change my plans for tomorrow into time idled away, vanity or regrets? A family crisis. A financial reversal. A serious illness. Perhaps even the end of all tomorrows here in death.

Never praise yourself – let other people praise you – even strangers.

“You can’t let praise or criticism get to you. It’s a weakness to get caught up in either one.”
John Wooden
