Hardworking and honest

A hard-working farmer has plenty to eat and honest people will lead a full, happy life.

A person who enjoys eating the yield of a farmer’s harvest needs to remember that such bounty requires messy, difficult work to produce. A farmer could enjoy looking at a clean manger, but if his manger is clean, that means he doesn’t have any animals. Without messy animals there will be no harvest. Food on the table is a basic reward of hard work.

“It is not good enough to know why we are oppressed and by whom. We must join the struggle for what is right and just. Jesus does not promise that it will be an easy way to live life and His own life certainly points in a hard direction; but it does promise that we will be “satisfied” (not stuffed; but satisfied). He promises that by giving life we will find life – full, meaningful life as God meant it.”

Once there lived an old farmer in a village. His three sons were lazy. The farmer was hardworking and active but his sons never worked. They wasted their time being idle. They did not like to work hard. As the time wore on, the old man got weaker and weaker. One day, the old man was dying. He told his sons that he had hidden his treasures in the fields. He also added that if they found the treasures, they could have enough wealth to live on without working. The farmer died before he told them where the treasures had been hidden. Then the sons decided to dig the field. They looked into every part and corner of the field. They could not find anything. They became sad. But they planted the crops in the field. After the harvest, they could collect more crops. They realized that their hard labor was the treasure. They learn the lesson “labor is always productive.” Thus the cleaver farmer made his sons work hard and taught them to live a happy life.

People who waste time will always be poor but at the same time, if you are in a hurry to get rich, you are going to be punished.

All junior executives should know that if they work hard ten hours a day, every day, they could be promoted to senior executives so they can work hard for fourteen hours a day.

Slow and steady wins the race and we are successful because of hard work and patient determination.
